The developer of this retail center envisioned it to be unlike any other in Knoxville, and as a result, it set the standard for future retail facilities by other developers. The winner of the 2002 Award of Excellence by the Knoxville Metropolitan Planning Commission, this project was destined for success. Luxurious landscaping, stamped concrete walks, brick with sloping shingled roofs, and window detailing appreciable by a pedestrian gave this project a residential scale and character. Architecturally controlled signage and Tuscan concrete columns put the finishing touches on a facility that is visually rich yet cost effective.
