The new medical campus consists of an existing facility (Covenant Medical Plaza) and two new facilities: a new 50-bed replacement hospital with an emphasis on outpatient and diagnostic services, and a new 30,000 sq. ft. Medical Office Building on an accessible 27+ acre site. The campus provides medical services to the rapidly-growing population of East Tennessee, so its location and visibility are important. The concept for the new facility was developed through a Joint Venture with Barber McMurry Inc. A large transparent curtain wall and a welcoming, expressive drop-off canopy celebrate the main hospital entrance. The exterior of the buildings is clad in two tones of red and brown brick to give the outside an appealing first impression. The warm and comfortable character the hospital provides on the outside is visibly maintained throughout the inside.
