While creating a significant new landmark for the present, LGA launched Hardin Valley Elementary into the future by allowing for expansion possibilities in the design. The school currently holds 800 students but is capable to be easily expanded to accommodate up to 1200 students when the time comes. The cafeteria is designed as a satellite food preparation kitchen that would furnish meals to any needed expansion. The school also boasts an extensive Media Center, two Art Rooms complete with kilns, and two acoustically treated music rooms. The project was completed two and a half months ahead of schedule.
