While creating a significant new landmark for the present, LGA secured the future operability of Hardin Valley Elementary by allowing for expansion possibilities in the design. The school holds 800 students but can be easily expanded to accommodate up to 1200 students. The cafeteria is designed as a satellite food preparation kitchen that would furnish meals to any needed expansion. The school also boasts an extensive Media Center, two Art Rooms complete with kilns, and two acoustically treated music rooms. The project was completed two and a half months ahead of schedule.
