Located in the center of Grainger County on State Highway 11W, this High School is the largest single building ever planned in Grainger County. It is approximately 175,000 sq. ft. of educational and vocational spaces on a beautiful 58-acre site. The design of the school incorporates a multi-use space in the facility with kitchen facilities, a performance platform, and a seating capacity of 600, which can be used for many school and community events. The gymnasium and vocational areas are included in the main building along with science, math, social studies, and language classrooms. An elevated walking track will be part of the 1600 seat gymnasium and will allow for all handicap students and adults to have full access of the facilities and activities. Other site improvements include athletic fields, field houses, concession areas, outdoor seating, and parking lots. Student safety was also a major consideration in the design, separating the bus loading and unloading from the automobile driveways and parking. The building design will provide a rich learning environment for a capacity of 1,600 students but can easily expand for the community's future needs.
