A native of East Tennessee and calling states ‘home’ from east to west coasts, E. Scott Terry graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Architecture and Design with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2006. Before and during his college career, Scott worked as a residential construction supervisor and co-designer for 10 years.
Prior to joining Lewis Group Architects, Scott started his professional design career with tvsdesign of Atlanta working on projects in domestic and international high-rise, hospitality, master planning, high-rise corporate headquarters, mixed use mid-rise and higher education. After tvsdesign, he worked as a freelance designer in Michigan and Tennessee on single and multi-family residences, law offices and art galleries. Now at Lewis Group Architects since April 2012, Scott focuses on design in the Education and Healthcare studios and utilizes his experience in three dimensional rendering with AutoCAD, Revit (Building Information Modeling), SketchUp, 3ds Max and V-Ray software. Scott’s design approach is a collaborative and client focused interaction for a creative result.
Scott is an active member of the East Tennessee Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and has volunteered his time for several AIA events and committees. He is a member of Knox Heritage. He has been an adjunct instructor for the School of Drafting and Design at ITT Technical Institute. He has experience in film production, theater design and construction, graphic design, music, art and photography. Scott spends his free time with his son Zak.
